Default Picnic Basket?

Any advice on places in Vegas where we could get a nice packed lunch?

Ofcourse we could assemble the equipment, food and drinks ourselves at Walmart or so, but it would be nice to just pick up a basket before we drive to the Valley of Fire.

I know that many of the tours offer picnic lunches with their tour packages and some of the hotels offer picnic lunches. I'm sure in all of Vegas there is bound to be places to buy a good picnic lunch. We'll try to find out some specifics for you.

I just read this post and haven't looked for any info on it yet but I will asap.

In the meantime I have got to tell you all about this new place slated to open towards the end of this year in Las Vegas. It's called the "Heart Attack Grill". I am sure the name alone gives away what you can expect on the menu!

They actually have a health warning posted:

Quote:
"The Heart Attack Grill diet is not for everyone," states the warning from the Heart Attack Grill, which is scheduled to open in downtown Las Vegas by the end of the year. "Side effects may include sudden weight gain, repeated increase in wardrobe size, back pain, male breast growth, loss of sexual partners, lung cancer, liver sclerosis, stroke and an inability to see your penis.

"In some cases, mild death may occur."
Basically it is a burger joint. One of their burgers is called the "Bypass Burger".

But for the guys.... in case you feel a "heart attack" coming on, maybe one of the "nurse" waitresses can help you.

Right now there is a Heart Attack Grill in Dallas and next up is Las Vegas.

I remember visiting a nice deli in Bally's Casino, in the far right corner of the casino, just left of the stairs that go to the covered walk/escalators.

I've had lunch there several times and they can whoop together a nice variety of sandwiches. And they have an assortment of beverages too.

Check out the small deli in Bally's casino if you want to put together a picnic basket.
