Default Silk Road restraunt closing.

Sad to say the economy is affecting everyone. The Vdara has chosen to close the restraunt due to the lack of necessity. They are planning to replace it with a small grocery store.

Quote:
The Vdara hotel-condo tower at CityCenter is closing its only restaurant in light of a small grocery store opening at the property.

The Market Café Vdara will open March 1 with groceries, a coffee bar and snacks for guests and condo owners at the property. The brightly colored Silk Road restaurant also in the Vdara lobby, which serves breakfast and lunch, will close March 8.
The employees of the restraunt have been offered other jobs within the company. This is good news as it would be a shame for anyone to loose their job right now.

I am also very glad to hear that the employees of both the restaurant and coffee shop will have other jobs within the company to go to. I hate to hear of any more people being out of work right now.

A grocery store? I am just wondering how expensive the goods in this store will be. I bet they will be a lot more expensive than if you went to a regular grocery store simply because it will be located in a popular hotel.

I am also glad that the employees have not lost jobs. This country has already had more than enough job losses. Though it is still a shame to see a business close because of the economy here.

I hope that the grocery store that they are planning on opening up in its place will do well, even though again I have to agree that the prices of the items they are going to be selling are going to be rather high.

Then again people I guess expect to pay high prices in places like that so I guess it won't be a total shock to those shopping there.
