Default Star Trek Fans Restaurant

Anyone who loves Star Trek will of course want to dine at the Star Trek restaurant at the Hilton in Las Vegas.

While dining you could get a visit from one of the many characters seen from the hit TV show, as seen in the video.

There is also a museum which you can visit to see actual costumes as well as other objects often seen in the various Star Trek shows.

From what I read about this restaurant it sounds like a wonderful experience even for those who never really got into the whole Star Trek thing.

I loved the Star Trek Next Generation show, and I would have to say this is one restaurant that I would really have to visit when I make it to Las Vegas.

LOL,Eyeofngt. I take it that you would rather not see this Star Trek Restaurant?

Who knows you may also like it, or you could always send your hubby off to this restaurant while you have yourself a little Vegas fun of your own.

I was lucky enough to visit Quark's Bar in '07, but unfortunately, the Hilton has since shut down the Star Trek Experience.

BUT!

http://scifiwire.com/2009/02/confirm...e-in-vegas.php

It's re-opening May 8th, thanks in part to the new Star Trek movie coming out on the same day....yay!

But anyways, the food there is GREAT. It's moderately priced, too.

I had the "Trip Tucker's Warp 5 Prime Rib Chili & Chips." It's listed as an appetizer, but unless you have a very hefty appetite, or if you're sharing it with someone, there's no need to even think about getting an entree` with it.

The Borg and Quark walking around really makes it more authentic..If you've ever seen Deep Space 9, you'll appreciate how good the guy imitates Quark, right down to his unique walk. When I was there, I saw people taking pictures with him and the Borg actor. Don't be shy, just ask to take a picture with them.

I found the menu: http://www.zagat.com/Verticals/Prope...&PNT=1&HID=859

It says that it's closed, which is true, but I'm assuming when they re-open next month that they'll have the same menu.

Beware of the gift shop....you could spend a small fortune in there...lol

Here's a few pictures I snapped while I was there..The last one is from Quark's Bar..

Now that I think about it, I bet they shut it down last year as a marketing ploy, and had planned to re-open it when the new Star Trek movie came out on May 8th...I'm fairly certain that they never had any intentions of keeping it closed...

Hey thanks for the information. I loved all of those shows even the old ones. I have to stop channel surfing if I see one on that I haven't seen in a while.

Captain Kirk and Spock are two of my favorites. I hope that it is open again so I can stop in and check it out. What a great way to pick up some gifts for my hubby too.
