Default The melting pot dining

I know several of you have been to Las Vegas before and know alot more about it than I do.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever made a trip or a stop to the Melting Pot?

I recently read about this place and know it has been around since 1975, which tells me that they must be doing something right.

From what I read about this restaurant is that it does offer a wide variety of fondue's to fit just about anyones tastes.

Fondue is something that I do enjoy, though it does go straight to the hips and other places,LOL, but is well worth it.

I was just wondering if anyone had been here before and if it is a place that you would return to on another trip?

If it is a place you loved alot and would return to, then this is one place that is going into my planner for a must try on my first trip.

Thumbs up Re: The melting pot dining

I've never eaten at the Melting Pot in Vegas, but I have eaten at another location and it's absolutely amazing. There are different choices based on budget/tastes. We went with the Big Night Out which included the following:

It's a very slow-served meal that starts with salad followed by a cheese fondue with bread, apples and your choice of cheese to dip (We chose a beer cheese). Second was the meat portion which is served with your choice of "broth." We chose one that came with chicken, lobster, shrimp, pork and beef, I believe. It took about 1.5 - 2 hours to eat all of the courses.

Lastly was dessert. We chose the turtle fondue that was chocolate, caramel and pecans. Dippers were angel food cake, bananas, strawberries and possibly another that's slipping my mind.

We went for a Valentine's Day Lunch and it's dark and romantic at this location. We spent over $100 but were full ALL DAY. So good and we can't wait to go back!!

The Tableau at the Wynn has the same idea - a meal there can take hours.

There they have different dishes with matching drinks served in sequence, at first you think you'll never get full because all the portions are small. The food is delicious, and what it is depends on what they have fresh that day. But it always includes appetizers, several main courses and desert. By the time you get to the delicious deserts you are soooo full, but they are soo good you just have to eat them...

This is one of the more expensive restaurants, but here too you will be satisfied for a looong time.

I love that kind of restaurant...
