MDA Telethon Back in Vegas

Jerry Lewis's MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) Telethon is all set to take place in the big convention room at South Point hotel-casino in Las Vegas beginning on Sunday at 6pm and finishing up Monday, Labor Day at 3:30 pm.

For the previous twelve years the telethon had been held in Hollywood but Jerry decided to bring it back to Las Vegas as it had previously been.

"This is the Entertainment Capital of the World!" he says, ready to qualify that title. "

Last years total for the telethon feel short of the previous year and Jerry is really hoping to change that this year for his kids. He is hoping to gain more funding than ever with a total of $70 million dollars.

He says he understands that people have been giving generously for sixty plus years and there is still no cure. But it was like that with Polio and they got that one figured out so they have to keep on asking for people to give so that MD can be eradicated as well.
