I wonder if there's an all slots casino in Las Vegas?

I think that's what Las Vegas should do, just start opening the name brand online casinos on the strip so we can play our online games once again in the US.

I know, wishful thinking...

I had thought that since most states now have their own casinos, that they would have carried that online so that only players in that state could play in their online casinos.

By doing it this way, we could get back to our online casino playing and each state would be able to fill their coffers with cash not only made at their landbased casinos but also at their online casinos. And we sure could use the roads fixed etc and this would be a good way for each state to get the money they need to do so.

One would think that this would be an easier way to regulate online gambling, by doing it by state rather than country wide which could take forever.

About your last sentence, IluvVegas...

It is taking forever.

I bet the UIGEA was drafted in less than 30 days.

How long has it been since several US states have tried to get online gambling legal?

I'd say it's going on over a year now, and they keep getting thwarted by some online gambling nay-sayer (and all it takes is One person to stop a bill? that doesn't make since).

Yea, its been well over a year. If memory serves, the UIGEA was a real rush job and thats why it was tacked on to the Port Authority Bill. And because it didnt stand alone, it should not even be recognized.

I also understood that there wasnt even time for all the voters to read the whole bill let alone get to read the UIGEA part of it so how can it be legal if no one even knew it was there?

As to your last statement, it only takes one person not to like something to throw a wrench in the works and the rest of America just sits around and bitches about what they dont like. So we have no one to blame but ourselves.

And another thing, when these things that we dont like get passed, its like we hear about it after the fact when it is actually too late to put up a fight for our rights.

This reminds me of how the American Revolution started, sort of.

Too many chiefs in office and not enough indians.

I read an article about when the UIGEA was tacked onto the Port Security bill and passed. And several members of Congress didn't even read the UIGEA bill or know it was there in the first place.

So, how could the UIGEA have been passed if not everyone read it? (Or read their homework, so-to-speak)

Such is politics, in a free country.
