Default Muscle Car won by Arthur Romero

On January 11th, Arthur Romero was playing a Barret-Jackson branded slot at Mandalay Bay when he hit for the car.

What he won was a Shelby Muscle Car. Arthur is from Amarillo, Texas, and was very lucky to have won this rare muscle car.

This is one lucky guy! I would never be so lucky! How long had he been playing before he hit? How much had he spent playing? I just wonder if he played for a long time before hitting or was the machine ready to hit when he sat down.

I have to wonder how much this vehicle is worth. I bet it was worth a ton of money. If I won, I wouldn't be able to pay the taxes on the car. LOL!!! I would be like, whoopie, I won!!!! Darn, I have to give it back. Boo Hoo!!!

I just looked up a the price of a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, it goes for $100,000 at a dealership.
That should give you an idea how much the upgraded Sports version of a Shelby costs.

I found two more new 2010 Mustang Shelby GT500's; Coupe costs; $46,000, Convertable costs; $51,000.

I think most Ford Mustang Shelby's cost between $35-50k, depending on what year it is and where you buy it.

I almost bought one when my son was younger, about 14 years old. He almost had me talked into it.
I drove it and it didn't quite have the power as my old hot-rods did;
a '65 Pontiac GTO with a built-up 326 engine and a '72 Dodge Challenger with a modified 340 block.

I talked to the man who was selling it to me and told him I didn't see what all the hype was about for the Mustang Shelby's, as my older hot-rods had more power and were faster at a start-off position for a whole lot less money. Ok, maybe they would be worth something today if I'd held onto them.
