Secret to hot slots!

I was watching the history channel the other day, and they had a special on Las Vegas and slot machines.

The person telling the story was an old las vegas worker who had inside info on how the casinos place the hot machines, and which ones are more likely to be hot and hit often

He said that the slot machines on the outside aisle, where the people walking by can see the jackpot sign going off is a good place to play, he also said that a slot game near the cashier booth is another hot spot because casino owners hope that players that are cashing in thier coins will see someone hitting on a machine there and will make them decide to play some more on those slots, also, if there is a set of 3 or 4 slot machines by themself in the middle of an isle or room, they are usually new slots and they will have them be loose slot machines to get people to play them, so there are secrets to which slot machines to pick when going to land based casinos.

I never thought of that before. There are many times I am getting change and while you are waiting in line, I always watch people play around the area. (Nothing else to do) LOL, Now I see, that makes a lot of sense to put the loose machines in those areas.

those are outdated tv shows. i have a post on here debunking that myth. see "simple vegas trip tips". it used to be true but with the advent of computer slots it no longer is.

I think it is just the luck of the machines. When they are hot they are hot and if they not they not..LOL I just don;t seem to have any luck period.

I saw the same show,it is true.They want people to see someone winning every now and then.It looks good to everyone playing,makes them want to play more at thier casino.Think about it,alot of chance in these places have to do with advertising to everyone that hasn't won yet.

Lol eyeofngt, I must have the same luck as you! The only streak I can ever count on is a losing one lol!

What you said Chipsahoy does make sense though. Casinos want people to see people winning so that they can rake in more dough so I am sure they are strategic about the placement of the machines.

please see my above post. it is not true anymore. it was an old tv show. slot machines have a computer programmed payback %. the machine will naturally cycle through high and low payback %'s. players experience natural variance. there are no more "loose" machines...
