Your Biggest Win

I am curious to know what was the biggest win you had in Las Vegas? I really wish I was able to answer this one, but sadfully I haven't had the chance yet to head out that way.

Though as I said I am cuious about the biggest wins that you all have had and what game were you playing when you landed your biggest win??

I hope that when the time comes for me to go to Las Vegas that I will be able to come back here to brag about all of it and hopefully about a huge win that I managed,lol.

For that one I will need all the luck that I can get, because something tells me that winning big in Vegas isn't something that happens very often at all.

Years ago, I was playing the Cherry machines in a truck stop outside of Vegas and won almost $400 which I traded in for stuff we needed for our tractor trailer. Which was really cool and saved us a lot of money in the long run.

As to winning when Ive been in Las Vegas. Nothing to talk about, just a few small wins that kept me playing all the time I was there.

And thats what I enjoyed, was the playing, the winning of a large jackpot would have been nice, but its okay that I didnt win big.

Well I have never won much, but I did hit a $650 jackpot on nickels about 10 years ago. You have had thought I won 6000 I was so excited.

Like I said, I havent won much while in Vegas, but did see one college kid drop a couple of quarters in a machine and give the wheels a spin and all kinds of bells and whistles started going off.

People were running everywhere and the boy was in shock. I would have been too, because on that one spin, that young man won well over $1M.

I wonder if he has any of it left? Probably not after finishing college and starting out in life, but boy, what a start that would be for a young person.

The same thing happened to me on a nickel slot machine about 8 years ago...

I put in a $20 bill and accidentally hit the "Max Bet" button, and the next thing I knew my slot machine was making all kinds of racket and the lights-a-flashing!

I cashed out $500 with my single $20 bet!!!

Then it took me 10 minutes to track down my wife, who had just left me fifteen seconds earlier before I hit the jackpot.

And there was this one time I was sitting close to one of my favorite 50¢ slot machines, because someone else was playing on it and I was just waiting for him to get up so I could play.

I was sitting there plugging three machines, and then noticed this person had left my favorite diamond 50¢ slot machine.
I finished with one of the other machines and slid over one seat so I could reach the coin slot, and dropped in a 50¢ piece, hit the button and continued with my other two machines.
My favorite machine stopped with two of the diamond jackpot symbols on the line. My pulse almost started to quicken, until I realized I was just fantasizing my chance of winning.
I hit the "hold" buttons under those two reels and spun again; went back to my other two machines to finish up on them so I could continue on my favorite one...And...

IT LANDED ON THE JACKPOT!!!

I nearly fell out of my chair as I moved over to the machine to claim my winnings. I loved it...$750 for one 50¢ coin!

What was going through my mind at that time?...
"Why didn't I put in two coins like I've been doing with the other machines?"
"Or even three coins, or four or the max bet of five coins!"

That would have been something. But we all know the slot machines change when you change the coin amount.

Congratulations on your nice win. Ive only had that happen to me once, but it was quite a thrill when it did happen.

And you are right, changing the bet has a lot to do with whether that particular machine will hit or not.

I usually work my money up somewhat and then try the higher bets a couple of times and if they dont hit, I go back to the bet that was hitting and continue on.

I usually play on the east coast or southeast, but my biggest win in Vegas was on a $5 denomination ($25 per hand) Deuces wild machine, I hit 4 Deuces for $5,000. I did it twice in a span of 15 minutes for a total of 10K.

However, I have yet to hit a royal at the $5 denommination which is $20,000. I usuallyonly play $1 and $2 denomination machines.

Hey there, congrats on your $10K win. That sure was a nice one.

Ive played in Vegas many times but have not won anything even remotely near your nice win.

Where did you stay at in Vegas? Tell us all about your experiences there, we love to hear about Vegas.

The only thing remotely close to your 10k in wins was when my wife decided to play a $5 slot machine on our way home from our local casino.

She fed in our last $20 bill and hit the spin button. Well she got the jackpot win for a 1-$5 coin spin...
She was about to hit the spin button again when I grabbed her arm and told her, "Honey, you have to hit the hold buttons if you want the $400 win!"

It was a great feeling to walk out of the casino and almost breaking even for the weekend.
But you know, she had to spin the reels a couple more times before cashing out. Just a feeling she had (and that's all it was since she didn't hit anymore wins).
