Carribean Stud
I kind of like this game and have won playing it twice. The only two times I tried it.
Dealer qualifies on AK. Player places bet and has option of the progressive bet. 1. buck can get your 10's of 10000's
Player places bet and gets 5 cards. Player then fold or raises. the raise bet must be 2x the ante. The progressive payouts start with a flush.
Here, the best strategy is to fold everything and play only when you have AKQJ4 and better. I play it fold everything and raise with pair or better. Slightly bigger house edge, but the best play is sort of confusing where player should have the dealer up card.
I have a betting scheme for this game. It's a martingale variation. 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200. Every hand is a loser. Last hand win with dealer qualifies and player raises. The win gets you a return of $80.00. 600(win)-505(losses)-15(progressive)=$80.00
It's more complicated when you start winning the ante only, or losing a raised bet. The player raised first hand and loses 15. Player should continue with 5.00 bets until he is down "X" amount. The next bet would then be "X+" and a continues pattern of raising his bet after a loss. The new bet should be 1/3 of the total amount lost, plus "x" amount. This will provide the player a winning hand that will cover the losses and provide a profit. Once the player has had a winning hand that increases his chip stack, player would start over with the 5.00 bets.
When you are deep in the betting scheme: You're bet is 35 and you win the ante bet only, player is still lost 60. Player may drop from 35 down to 25. A win of the ante at 25 only and the player is down 35. He may follow up by betting 15. A win with raise will give the player 45. The math Losses(5x5)+(10+15+20+25)-wins(35+25+45)-progessive12=-2. SO the player played and lost 2.00 on his final win. Like I said it's complicated. Practice up and you might memorize something that works well.
Again, you can practice this game and betting schemes at bodog. It's another tough recommendation, but it's a game players do have a chance of walking away a winner over the short term. IMO...
EDIT: I'm looking for average progressive jackpot when won so should the JP be higher than average, I'll be playing at a good time.
