I think War was my second card game to learn, although it is the easiest.
Go Fish was the game I first learned to play with cards, being raised as a Christian, playing war was unheard of for a child to play in the 60's.
Well, at least in our home.
War was fun to play during my first try at it. My sisters learned how to play from one of their friends and then introduced it to me (I think they changed the rules so I would lose

).
It always seemed like I would lose all my cards when I was young, because I was slower at thinking and my sisters were fast at throwing their cards and then pick them up again.
As time goes by and I'm getting older and faster, I am no longer fun to play with since my reaction time has picked up and now I've got their heads-a-spinning.
Anyway, War was a blast to play many years ago, and can still be fun to play as to pass time between two bored people.
