History of Keno
Keno has been around for more than three thousand years now and it was invented by Cheung Leung. When he invented it is close to the keno we play now.
The game was based on a poem. The poem was called The Thousand Character Class.
Cheung made enough money on this game to support the war. Then the name was called Game of the White Pigeon. The also paid for the Great Wall of China with keno draws.
San Francisco was the first area to play keno in our states. Chinese sailors brought it to us.
Gambling was allowed in Nevada in 1931 but not keno. So they changed to to racehorse keno. Instead of numbers, they had a picture of horses.
