Default Playing War

Last night was the first time that I have played war in proably 20 or more years. I had even forgotten how to play.

Though my sweetie brought in a deck of cards and he and I played several times. I had forgotten how much fun just a simple card game could be.

I am used to playing games like rummy, gin rummy and poker. All of which are I believe serious skill games. Though playing war against him brought back alot of childhood memories for me. It was alot of fun.

He and I decided that at least once a week we would sit down and play war. I agreed because it would be great practice for when I make it to Las Vegas, I will be able to play war there as well and hopefully come out a big winner.

Though I will have to look up the rules on how to play to make sure that we are playing the game like it is played in Las Vegas. I really dont want to get used to playing it one way here at home and then go to Las Vegas only to find that I have been playing it incorrectly and look like an idiot trying to play there,LOL. Now that really would be how my luck would go.LOL

I just hope that my sweetie doesnt try to play something like Go Fish or Old Maid. Those childhood games I never really did like much,LOL. I havent a clue why I just never cared for them.LOL.

Played just like at home!

Except declaring war - that requires a extra bet or two

You are right there VegasLover.

I've seen the rules once or twice, but forget exactly how to bet in casino War.

But it is basically played like the regular game of war.

I am sure that when I do visit Las Vegas, I can always watch how the betting works and figure it out (depending on how blonde of a day I am having at the time,LOL) then join in and have some playing War.

It is surprising at just how simple it is to play, yet so much fun at the same time. I am looking forward to giving it a try eventually.
