Economically stressed Vegas is looking for a big comeback just by having Celine Dion there. She is slated for 210 performances over the next 3 years. And while she will be getting $500,000 per show, it is stated by Stephen Brown that:
Quote:
He estimates that Dion's show will create up to 7,000 indirect jobs and around $114 million worth of new economic activity in each of the three years for which she has been contracted. Box office takings are over $10 million already for the first month's worth of shows alone.

He is also quoted as saying that:
Quote:

She's been called a 'one-woman economic stimulus package' and I think there's a lot of truth to that. People will come to the city just for her and they will spend money and as a consequence, she has an outsized impact on the economy

Hopefully with Miss Dion being there and more visitors to Vegas, their economy will start to improve again.
Celine can be seen at Caesars Palace and if you are planning to see her show, buy your tickets as soon as you can as every show she did between 2003 and 2007 was sold out.
