All the guys here might want to mark your calendars for this one. It's the Miss Universe pageant 2010 and it's to be in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay on August 24th.



Gorgeous women from all around the world will come together to compete for the ultimate title of Miss Universe 2010.

Vegas has been host to several other Miss Universe Pageants in the past and they decided that they wanted to have it there again.

“Las Vegas is so fabulous, we had to come back again for the Miss Universe pageant,” said Miss Universe Organization President Paula M. Shugart in a press release. “The world will be watching as women from all around the globe descend on Mandalay Bay to compete for the crown and the title!”

I must have gotten my dates mixed up because the pageant actually took place yesterday. Sorry guys if ya missed it because of me.

We do have an official winner though.



Miss Mexico, Jimena Navarrete has been crowned and is officially Miss Universe 2010.

She has replaced the 2009 winner, Stefania Fernandez.

Miss USA, Rima Fakih, was eliminated early in the show. First runner-up in the 2010 Miss Universe contest was Miss Jamaica, 24-year-old Yendi Phillipps. The remaining winners in the top five were: 2nd Runner-Up Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell; 3rd Runner-Up Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska; and 4th Runner-Up Miss Philippines Venus Raj.

She is Mexico's second Miss Universe winner.

Good going for Mexico. I wonder if she slipped back over the bobwire to America after the contest was over?

You know, Miss Universe 2010 looks more white than she does Spanish (that's the reason for the above comment).

I bet they were all lovely ladies and if I were a judge I'd have a hard time figuring out which one was the best contestant.
