Default CSI Experience

I think this would be so cool to do. It's called CSI Experience. It is located at the MGM Grand.

You actually get to solve crimes. You walk through the crime scenes finding evidence, you can do DNA testing, analyze bullets and whatever else you need to do in the lab to solve the crime.

They have three different crime scenes. One is a mystery car that crashed into a living room on a quiet street. Another one is a skull in the desert and lastly is the death of a waitress.

Quote:
After leaving the crime scenes, you'll find a wall of crime scene photos, where more evidence can be examined in greater detail. The CSI exhibit continues at the interactive lab elements where the evidence can be put to the forensic test. You'll have the chance to examine fingerprints and fibers, compare DNA, analyze bullets, and do whatever else is needed to solve the case at the MGM CSI Experience.

At the end of the CSI exhibit, you'll present your findings to Gil Grissom, the head investigator. After a series of multiple-choice questions on a touch screen, a case summary will print, so you can compare your results to those from the expert crime scene investigators. Everyone leaves with a personalized CSI diploma, and accompanying gift shop means you can find even more souvenirs to take home.
The entire thing takes from 60 to 90 minutes to complete. I think this would be a lot of fun.

OMG that would be so cool to do. I love watching the CSI shows as well as playing the CSI games on the computer. It is so awesome. This is something that I would just have to do while I was in Las Vegas.

I know several family members and friends who would also love to hear about this as well. Most of us are lovers of CSI, and this would be an experience that everyone would really enjoy.

Thanks for the information on this one. I am gonna have to spread the word around to everyone so that when they all head off to Vegas they can check into it and hopefully get the chance to solve some crimes with Gil.

I agree that would be very cool. I want to go try it now lol. When my daughter was in 6th grade they did that at her school in her sicence class. She was telling me about it and it sounded really cool. I was like man why didnt they have that kind of stuff when i was in school lol.

Basically when they got in class all the desk were moved and there was a taped out layout of a person on the floor her teacher split them up in groups and they had to search around the room to find clues and they could take pieces of hair, gum, anything to the teacher of course it wasnt real and the teacher didn't really have it tested lol but my daughter loved it, and it sounded like fun.

My oldest daughter was just nominated to go to this thing in Washington DC for one month this summer to study forensics and crime scene investigation. There were only 300 students chosen to go in the whole U.S. Unfortunately it costs $1,000 so I doubt if we will be able to send her. They do all kinds of neat things though. Everything they do in a real criminal case.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter won't be able to go Vegasrocks. Something like that would be an amazing experience for anyone.

I know that I really want to visit Las Vegas now just so I can play CSI even if only for a short time. It would be an experience that would last me a lifetime.

There are just so many things that people can do in Las Vegas it is kind of hard to remember it all, though I have my little list of things I really wanna do and CSI is at the very top of it now!!

Now if I can just manage to get there I would be good to go,LOL.

A couple of other things on my must see list are of course the Bellagio fountains. That is something I bet would be amazing to see in person rather than on a video.

Then there is also Madame Tussauds wax museum. I have seen some videos of this museum and it looks amazing!!! Though I want to see it in person.

Madame Tussaud's
