Default Grand Canyon Day Trip & Skywalk

You can take a tour of the Grand Canyon and take an optional skywalk for right around $150.00.

You get to see some really amazing things with this tour. The highlights of the tour are -

Quote:
*Full-day trip to the Grand Canyon West Rim by coach from Las Vegas
*Discounted tickets on the Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected)
*Scenic views over the Grand Canyon from Eagle Point and Guano Point
*Hualapai Indian Country
*Pickup and drop-off from most Las Vegas hotels
*Upgrade to include a helicopter and boat combo

I cannot even imagine seeing the views in person. It has to be amazing.

Quote:
*The spectacular Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected) - take a walk over the edge of the canyon on a transparent glass bridge
*Eagle Point Indian Village, exploring Native American history and culture with replica dwellings and performances of traditional dance
*Hualapai Ranch Wild West show
*Lunch at the Hualapai Buffet, Cowboy Cookout or try the Native American fry bread
*Spectacular views over the Colorado River at Guano Point
*Stunning panoramic views of the Grand Canyon from Eagle Point
*Complimentary Grand Canyon West Express shuttle bus
This is definitely something that I want to see sometime before I kick the bucket. Have any of you been there? If so, have any pictures? I'd love to see them.

Default Re: Grand Canyon Day Trip & Skywalk

I haven't been on any of the Grand Canyon trips while visiting Las Vegas, but sure would love to go on one some day.

My wife and I watched a show about how the Skywalk was made and it was pretty awesome how they built it.

A lot of man-hours and strict safety pre-cautions went into building the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

They really went over-kill with the safety on the Skywalk.
I forget how many fully loaded semi-trucks they mentioned could drive on the Skywalk, if they would fit.
Let's just say that you won't have to worry about it giving way even when it's packed with people.

I may be like a few of the people I saw walking "scared" while looking through the glass panes on the Skywalk, as my vertigo may be off slightly with the first glance at the ground some 4000 feet below.
