Default Take a day trip.

This would be worthwhile. Take a day trip to the Valley of Fire state park. Its beautiful from what I can see.

My list of things to see while visiting Vegas just keeps growing. It is going to take several visits in order to see everything but won't it be fun.

We haven't been there in years, so we plan on drving over this time. Yes, there are so many things to do and see around the city. I remember when Vegas was just a little desert town with cheap buffets, lots of gambling and some pretty neat hotels.

Ive said it many times, theres so much to do and see in and around Las Vegas that a person could spend months there just touring and not be able to see it all.

The Valley of Fire, is something I am also putting on my list of things to do when I get back there next summer. And you are so right, visiting all of these places will be fun but I see me needing a vacation after I get back from Vegas to rest up from all the touring. lol

My earliest travels through Las Vegas was back in 1968 and I don't remember the sights, because it was nighttime, or after midnight, and I was very sleepy.

I just remember that I had to use the restroom when we stopped, and we had to enter one of the casinos to be able to relieve ourselves.

After that we were ushered back out to our stationwagon while our father stayed inside to try his luck at slots.
Well, he didn't stay long in that casino. So he drove to another one and spent another hour or so inside that casino, and came out to tell us he had won some money and we were leaving.

I wish we could have stayed and seen Las Vegas during the day, then I would have had a better memory of my first visit.

Ive been to Vegas many times over the years but have realized that I do need to get out of the casinos and take some tours because there is so much to be seen.

The area around Vegas is beautiful and next summer when I go back there, I will be going out to look around instead of just spending all my time gambling. I am going to take pictures too to share with everyone.

Oh, and other places I would like to visit are Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Mt Charleston, and the Grand Canyon.

So I guess if I go see all that when Im in Vegas the next time, I wont have a lot of time left for gambling but will have made a lot of memories.

I've seen a lot of nice pictures of Rock Canyon, and like you IluvVegas, I would like to visit it one day to get some of my own pictures.

I've been by the Grand Canyon when I was younger and my dad got some pictures, but I think that was of the lower part of the canyon.
We were on a schedule on our vacation so we couldn't travel too far.
