Default The Big Cats at the MGM Grand

I know my husband would be the first in line to see the lions at the MGM Grand Lion Habitat- he once got to hold a tiny tiger cub and ever since that time has had a fascination for the big cats.

Visitors of the Lion Habitat can watch the big cats through the 1 1/2" thick glass wall as they play, eat, groom themselves and sleep. There are placards strung along the glass wall with interesting facts about the lions. Admission to the exhibit is free.

The lions do not live at the display, they actually live on a ranch that's about 12 miles away from the MGM Grand, where they are cared for by experts, who make sure that everything possible is done to keep the lions healthy and happy.

Lions are beautiful cats!! It would be exciting to see them live and in person. You will be surprised at how huge they are.

The lions are truly a beautiful animal. I am just so thrilled that they live at a ranch where they can walk around and live without being under a microscope. It makes my heart happy. It is also very nice that at times, they can be seen by the general public. Not too many people can get up close to lions.

You'll also be happy to know that the lions are only on display for a few hours before being "switched out" for others - so that they are not made to feel uncomfortable being on display for too long at a time. The lions' handlers are very particular about keeping these gorgeous animals healthy and happy!

Well, Slotlover, you just answered my question before I got to ask it lol. I was wondering how long they were on display since you said that they do not live there. I am glad that they live on a ranch where they can roam and have room to be themselves.
