Default Baseball player 16

Sports Illustrated has put a 16 year old baseball player on the front page. The edition comes out today. His name is Bryce Harper and he is something else. His family couldn’t be any happier for him.

He can do it all, including catch, patch, and hit the home runs. At his young age, they are already saying he will be the No. 1 draft pick in 2011.

When he was only 15, he hit a home run for 570 feet. Now that is hitting the ball! You can put him on anywhere in the field and he does good. His pitches wow, 96 mpg curve ball.

wonderful young athlete. i hope they dont ruin this kid. he has alot of potential. the 500+ ft. home run is, well, a reported 500 ft home run and his fastball is 96 not a curve. lol. impressive but no unheard of for a high schooler. mlb draft is different than all other sports. they draft everybody. i worked with a kid who was drafted by the reds in the 2nd round then got cut from his community college team. the marlins, at one point, had 17 different single a teams!! hope this kid is brought along correctly. one of the down sides of working with young elite athletes is i know way too many horror stories....
