The UFC is major in Las Vegas and this fight will be no less important. Kimbo Slice will be taking on Matt Matrione on May 8th and it will be on pay-per-view.
Kimbo Slice just beat Houston Alexander by unanimous decision last Saturday night at the Palms at the Ultimate Fighter Finale.
I guess some rumours had been flying around about Slice not fighting Matrione and instead fighting James Toney but the UFC has made it official that the fight will go on as was planned.
Matt Matrione is getting ready to go to training camp under Milwaukee-based trainer Duke Roufus.

"He called me and asked me to come," Mitrione said, on how he hooked up with Roufus' highly regarded camp. "He told me I remind him of how he used to fight. Even when I'm tired, I'm coming forward and I stalk people. He trains (UFC heavyweight) Pat Barry, and I love Pat Barry. If a guy is calling me asking me to come to his camp, then that's where I need to be."

My husband was not happy when Kimbo Slice was allowed into the UFC. He didn't feel that he had earned it. He says it's just a media thing. Well we will see with this fight if he earned it or not.
