Las Vegas Ski Resort Open

Even though it is still Fall, the Las Vegas Ski & Snow Board Resort has opened it's doors.



This is the resorts 47th season and they had a great crowd on opening day (yesterday) and they are hopeful that becomes a trend for the season.

"We've seen an increase in season pass sales over the last year, which is a good sign that the economy is turning around," says Kevin Stickeoman, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort.

"The resort has been preparing for opening day for over two weeks. There's nearly a foot of snow on the mountains."

Officials from the resort say they are planning some specials for mid-week and other discounts to help bring in new comers.

From what I've heard this is a great resort if you are into snow boarding or skiing.
