I hear you IluvVegas. Women were not seen in racing sports back then.
I remember when I was young and wanted to race cars when I grew up.
My father use to tell me, you can't do that, you don't want to do that, or, why would you want to do that?
It was his response to anything I wanted to accomplish in life that he deemed unecessary. Except if I had ever talked about being a doctor or lawyer, then he was all about "that".
My brother and I both wanted to team-up together when we got older and build racecars to race.
But as life was thrown at us and our father got us a job at the place he worked, all those dreams changed. And it was all we could do to live in our own places and make it through life.
When people change, so do their dreams. But I would still love to race a car around a big oval track just to see how I would fare.
