Top Golf Holes in Vegas

Las vegas is an amazing place for golfing if your into that. I'm not but my husband enjoys a few rounds here and there. I cannot believe the architecture that is put into some of the golf holes. It's amazing really.

Here are a few of the top golf holes in Las vegas according to the golf travel insider.

The first hole at Bear's Best Las Vegas is a top pick. Its 413 yards. There is a lake to the left and bunkers protecting the raised green. It's a tough one right off the bat.

The second hole at TPC Las Vegas is a par-3 and 196 yards. Your shooting to an island only there's no water, just desert. This hole always gave the pros trouble during the PGA Tour. It's a challenge.

The sixth hole at Wynn's Golf Club is a good one. It's a par-3 and is 163 yards. There is a pond along the front and foilage too.

Bali Hai's 18th hole makes the list with 500 yards and a par 4. A real challenge.

There are so many places to golf in Las vegas it's no wonder why the pros are always teeing off out there. And the places to golf aren't the average run of the mill. They are challenging and beautiful.

I'd love to play on some of those golf courses, even though I'm not even considered a beginner golfer since I haven't played in over thirty years.

My favorite shot, on a par 3 hole, was teeing off over some pine trees.
It was the 8th hole on a course in CA, shaped in a backwords L shape.
The proper way to get it to the hole was hitting it to the corner of this L and then to the green on the second shot.
Believe it or not, I made a birdie on this hole (call it beginners luck).

I'll never forget my friends face that day:
He told me there were only two ways to get it to the green...
The correct way was to the corner and then down to the green...
Or, you could blast it over the pine trees.

So, I aimed my tee-off for over the pine trees.
He looked at me and said, "What the heck are you doing?"
I said, "You said that over the trees was my second choice, so that's what I'm doing."
He said, "You can't make that shot from here."
I said, "Watch me, and learn."

This was my second or third time on this certain golf course and it had been while since I played here.
I was young, drinking beer and behind on the score card. So I went for the shot over the trees and made it.

My friend and one of his friends were blown away at the end of the game (there were three of us playing), because I beat him by one stroke and beat his friend by two!

It all started by going for a nearly impossible shot over some trees, making it and my luck on the course didn't stop.

Side note: I used a wood driver to make the shot over the trees. Like I said, beginners luck.

Hey way to go with that shot. That was a good one.

I had thought about learning to play golf but after the third lesson, I gave up. I just couldnt get the stance right and couldnt get the grasp on the club right.

So I traded the golf club for a baseball bat and glove and joined the rest of the neighborhood kids in the abandoned school lot near my home for some great baseball.

I can imagine the look on your friends' faces after that shot Vegas. Way to go! Proved the doubters wrong lol!

I'm more of a miniture golf gal. And to be honest I stink at that but it's a lot of fun. In the mall we have a glo-put miniture golf. Everything glows under blacklights. My son loves to whip my butt there lol!
