This guy really had a dumbass attack. He would go around Vegas and find homes that were empty, gain access to them and then rent them out to people. And none of these homes belonged to him. But when the real owners found out that this was being done, they went to the law about it.

Steven P. Nohrden has been booked on two counts each of burglary, theft and obtaining money under false pretenses, officials said.

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that this unlawful scam wouldnt work long.

Yeah, sure sounds like he didn't have all his peas in the same pod.

If he would have been on top of his game he might have gotten away with it, since there are probably a lot of vacant homes in Las Vegas these days.

Its gets pretty bad when you have to check into who actually owns the home you are trying to rent.

There are more and more scams popping up every day and they are encompassing areas that we really wouldnt even consider, such as this one.

Best advice I can give here is do your homework. Find out for sure who owns the home before you rent it.

You're right IluvVegas, and I bet this goes on all the time and we don't hear about it.

There are still people out there who travel and live in houses that are vacated for some reason or another.
