Donny and Marie Settle Lawsuit

Donny and Marie settled a lawsuit with their shows producer outside of court.



The producer had accused the Osmonds of breach of contract, fraud, defamation, and unjust enrichment. They had allegedly been planning to back out plans to extend their show at the Flamingo until 2012.

He branded Donny "devious, fraudulent and greedy" and claimed the singer had "concocted a scheme" to avoid paying him for his work and ordered him to accept a 50 per cent pay cut if he wanted to keep his job.

They have settled their dispute though and dismissed the complaints.

"I am pleased we were able to resolve this matter and am sorry that, in the heat of battle, comments may have been made that were hurtful to the Osmonds."

Donny Osmond adds, "My sister and I want to thank Chip Lightman for great contributions he made in launching our show at the Flamingo. We look forward to the opportunity to work with him again in the future."

Sounds like a lot of trying to sweep it under the rug to me!!!

I agree sweeping it under the rug and a whole lot of sour grapes in the background.

No one puts someone down like that and then a short time later pretends that all is right with the world like they are doing.

Well, that's how it goes most of the time with the stars...

They either throw a tissy-fit and get their way, or throw out money to get out of drug charges.

Donny and Marie were fun to watch when they were younger (and I was much younger too), but I'm not so sure about them in this day and age.
