Marie Osmond returned to the Las Vegas stage

Just a day after burying her 18-year-old son, Marie Osmond returned to the Las Vegas stage amid tears with standing ovations.

It was a sold out crowd at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel Tuesday Night.

The audience was nervous, not knowing what to expect from them Then Donny and Marie came out to very loud applause.

After the first of 3 standing ovations, Marie said "The way Osmonds survive is they keep singing. My son would want that."

This is a very sad story,I can't believe that she came back one day after burying her son,I know that that had to have been tough for them both.I wouldnot have been able to keep it together that soon,I dont think.

It had to have been kind of nice though to get such a warm reaction from the audience though.I am sure that it was a very emotional time for the Donnie and Marie.It must have been very hard for them,I am sure thaqt they are glad that it is behind them now though,Just htinking about doing a show after what they have been through had to have been very hard for them.

Congradulations Donnie and Marie,you did a good job I hear.

It's just aweful. I don't know how she did it. I cannot imagine being able to go back just one day after burying a son. She is a strong woman no doubt about it.

People cope with things in different ways and maybe for her it is singing. There isn't anything wrong with that.

I just read that Donny & Marie have cancelled their shows for this week. Their next scheduled show is on Tuesday the 23rd.

I kind of expected this to happen as I thought it was too soon for her to try and return to perform. I just can't imagine losing a child as she did. I am sure I would not be able to return to work for quite a while.

I guess she said something like this is her final chance to take care of her son, to be a mom when she was planning the funeral. That is so sad. My heart just breaks for her.

I guess they have added show dates in April to try and make up for the shows they have had to cancel.

Keep Marie and the family in your prayers as they are needing all of the support they can get.
