I've been on several airplane flights as a child and while growing up. None of those were the jet-liners we are use to today, but prop-jobs as I like to call them.
So I was fairly use to flying before my first memorable jet-plane flight...
It was on a Boeing DC-10 and it went from Charleston, SC to Atlanta in about 30 minutes.
I loved the take-off; I was sitting back and at a sharp angle, being pushed back into my seat, and the plane was in the air and circling Charleston in less than a minute.
I looked out my window and saw a smaller large city, and getting smaller by the second.
As an older teen, this was a thrilling ride for me. All that power pushing me upward and into the air, above the clouds.
Most of the flights in my life have been great ones with no problems and there were a few I could have done without (I have some good short-stories about those).
But that's flying and it has its ups and downs (literally

).
