Default Dolphin shows

I heard from a friend they have dolphin shows. I would love to take my fiancé to see them. She absolutely adores them. Any information would be appreciated.

At Sigfrieds and Roys Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage, which is located at 3400 Las Vegas Boulevard South, you can watch a family of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins perform.

In fact, you can become a Trainer for a Day, at the Dolphin Habitat. As a trainer you will participate in daily activities with the dolphins and their trainer. You will get to play with the dolphins and feed them and train them also.

This day starts at 9:45 am and ends at 3:45pm. It begins with a tour, a breakfast, then into your wet suit. And out to meet the dolphins. At lunchtime you get a 3 course lunch on a private patio.

When your day as a trainer is over, you will get an 8x10 photo, a certificate of completion, a Trainer for a Day embroidered polo shirt and photo CD documenting your hands on dolphin Trainer for a Day experience.

Must be 13 and over to participate in this program, if 13-15 years of age, must have an adult with them.

Dolphin Habitat is open daily, weekdays.

Ticket sales start at 10am.
11am to 7 pm

Holidays and weekends
10am to 7 pm

Cost of tickets for adults is $15.00 Cost for children 4 years to 12 years is $10.00 and children under 3 no charge when accompanied by an adult.

I am also convinced that your fiance would love this show. In fact, when I go back to Vegas, I intend to see this show myself.

I would think the cost of training with the dolphins would cost you a bit more though.

I guess you could call it Training with the Dolphins tour. They have a phone number on their site where you can call for pricing.

So if you're planning on being a trainer for a day with the dolphins, plan ahead by calling them to see what the price will be.
And perhaps you can also get a training slot ahead of time too. ("For pricing and information, please call 702.792.7889.")

I bet this would be a blast if you really love dolphins.

I went to this....and it was nice!!! after they do the demo...you can walk around in these under ground tunnels and watch the dolphins play underwater...

in the same area...they have the tigers etc....all for the one ticket. I spent a couple hours there one day....had a meeting so i couldn't stay as long as i wanted...but it was very nice.

I have a few pictures....
you can see them all here.....i have put a few in this post.

My fiance would be in heaven. I think when we eventually go I am going to try and save the money for her to do that. She cried at Seaworld just getting to feed the dolphins. Can you imagine if she got to play with them. That would bring me joy just letting her do that.

Well VegasVigin I hope that you get to do that for her. My daughter also loves dolphins. I have to buy her dolphin themed everything.

I once saw a show that was about the atrocities that are done to these wonderful creatures. I hope to see an end to such cruelty in my life time.

When people like your fiancée' fall in love with them they stand a real chance of survival. I figure that as long as there is love for a creature somewhere they have a voice and will be heard.

Those are beautiful animals. And they are so smart. I have heard and read lots of stories of them saving peoples lives.

Talking about dolphin smarts, I think they are even smarter than chimps are.

I once heard on a geographic show that dophins are the second smartest mammal on earth.

I looked it up on Wiki and got this answer for the smartest mammals:

"Either chimps, great apes, or dolphins.
People argue for all three, but chimps are probably the smartest."

I still think if they brought the studies out, that dolphins would be on top.
