Default Gambling do's and dont's in Vegas

Dont be careless with your money or your purse while in the casino. There is always someone around just waiting for the chance to pick up what doesnt belong to them.

Do, when playing table games, stack chips with the highest denomination on the bottom of the stack. And keep the stack in front of you.

Do be aware of the denomination of your chips.

Do ask for a security escort to your car if you have hit a large sum amount of money in the casino.

Dont pass up casino perks.

Do use your players card to accumulate points that you can use for food, hotel rooms etc.

Do use your comps so that they dont expire. Check with the casino to make sure when the expiration date will be.

Dont forget to leave a tip if the hotel "does" comp your meal.

Dont try to pay for anythign else but gambling with your casino chips.

Dont expect to be treated like a high roller if you arent one.

Do study the games and learn the strategies before playing them.

Do play max bets when playing slot machines. This makes you eligible for the jackpot.

Dont place anything on the gaming tables.

Dont go to the gaming tables with hand held casinos or books or magazines on strategies.

Dont hand money or chips to the dealer at a table game.

Dont expect to cash out without proper ID.

Dont expect to win on a gambling system, they just dont work.

Dont ever count on winning.

Dont bet more than you can afford to lose.

Do only use gambling as a form of entertainment.

And don't think you can get "free bonuses" like you do on online casinos..lol...true story..

I went to Mohegan Sun last year and spent a few hundred dollars having fun on the slots, and when it was gone...i went up to customer service and said..."i just deposited a few hundred dollars here and would like to ask for a "free chip"....

Needless to say, the CS looked at me like i was crazy and proceeded to give me a pair of "toe nail clippers" as a thank you for visiting the casinos...?

I said, thats it? If i gamble online, i can call CS and ask for a bonus, free chip..etc..and usually i get one....

But i only walked away with my engraved toenail clippers...and a good laugh.

I bet there are pick pockets in abundance in Las Vegas. Where better to hang out than where crowds go to play games using money?

Be careful for sure. Instead of a purse maybe a waistpack would be a little safer to use.

I use a waitpack to hold my smokes, comp cards, change, and several other things.
These really come in handy.
