Horse Racing in Vegas?

I was just wondering if there was a horse track in Las Vegas. I love to watch the races. It is just so exciting to sit outside when it is nice and hear all the hoofs on the ground go by you so fast.

We have two tracks within 45 minutes of where I live in Ohio. One of the tracks in Ohio I live by is trotters, and the other is harness racing.

When I go to the casino in WV, I always go to the track and watch the ponies. If Las Vegas don't have one, then I was wondering why?

When I lived in Ohio, I went to a private school that had a horse track right beside it, in Mt. Vernon. The Knox County Fairgrounds. I looked it up.

I would stand on the edge of the school property and watch the horse races, when I could get away with it. The teachers were always on the lookout during the horse racing.

This reminds me of days back in my childhood when my parents would take us kids to Vermont when they had "Green Mountain Horse Racing"..It was fantastic! I went there as an adult years ago, but then they turned it into a dog track, and now its shut down, because the dogs were abused! idiots!

But it was beautiful up there when it was a horse track, it was just plain jockey and horse racing and the setting was gorgeous, mountains all around. God i miss going there, it was a fantastic time.
