Default Las Vegas Weather

I have always lived in Ohio and although we do have some really hot days in the summer months, I have never experienced anything like the heat in Las Vegas. I was curious as to how hot it is there today and I saw that it is 97 degrees and it is nighttime! Not to mention that this is September. I don't know if I could handle that kind of heat. And I have no idea what the heat index is out there right now but I can imagine that it's high too, making it feel even hotter!

We rarely reach temperatures even in the nineties here where I live. I would say we hit the nineties maybe four or five days a year! And when we do have temps that high around here I feel like I am going to die lol!

I guess maybe when I decide to take a trip to Las Vegas I had better do it during the winter months when it is cooler lol.

Default Re: Las Vegas Weather

I just looked up the Las Vegas weather for today, and as I expected the heat index is lower in the desert climate because the humidity is lower.

Today's expected high for Las Vegas is 99 degrees and suppose to feel like 93 degrees.
Tomorrow it's suppose to reach 101 degrees and feel like 95 degrees.

So, that tells us that with the lower humidity, and a possible breeze blowing, that the heat index is actually lower in desert climate.

And yes, it is cooler during the early Winter season.
The locals think it's really cold when the temperature is at 65 degrees with a breeze blowing, but I love it!

It does get cold there. If you can remember, Las Vegas had 3 inches of snow on December 17 and 18 in 2008. (I remembered they had snow, but forgot when it was so I looked it up)
