MGM Mirage Now MGM Resorts International

The MGM Mirage is no longer the MGM Mirage. They have changed the name to MGM Resorts International.



Shareholders agreed to the name change on Tuesday at their annual shareholder's meeting which took place at CityCenter. They decided on the name change to honor the heritage and global presence.

The name change is in effect immediately.

“We believe that this change honors our rich entertainment heritage, better represents the growing global presence of our company and positions us to move forward under a united brand, strategy and common vision,” Murren said to a ballroom of shareholders Tuesday morning.

It seems like a good idea considering that they are going International. It wraps all their different properties into one bundle and will make it easier for people to find these casinos when they look online or are looking for telephone numbers.

And its a good solid and catch name too so that will better help people remember it instead of having to remember the names of all the different casinos.
