Default NHL award show

The annual award show for the National Hockey League will he held for the first time in Las Vegas this summer. This award show has always been in Canada.

This is really good news for Las Vegas. It should help bring in more money for them. Alot of the players and fans have never been to Vegas before because alot of them are from Canada, Europe and Russia.

Is there a date for the NHL Award Show?

I bet 1819 will be in attendance for this one.
Have to go down and meet some of the players and old friends.

I'd like to hear about this gathering, and what goes on behind the scenes with a bunch of NHL players in one spot.

They had the awards yesterday. Wish I could've went......I watched it on Versus. Ovechkin took home quite a few trophies.

All Players seemed to really enjoy the trip and being able to see the shows and check out the night life of Vegas.

Here's a snipet of what NHL Commissioner said about bringing the event to Las Vegas:

Quote:
"Las Vegas is known as a pre-eminent destination, as an entertainment capital," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said Wednesday night. "Being here, with the excitement and fun that people have by coming to Vegas, makes this a bigger event."

lol. i can say that our fraternity is the one with the most "normal" guys. most nhl players you wouldnt know if you ran into them in the street(self included). regular guys sums it up. even the superstars are humble. if you can get us around a bar with a pool table and a dart board 99% of us will be happy. unless it is for charity i never go to any of these events. didnt even know it was in las vegas to be honest or i might have gone out a week earlier just for the heck of it...

I heard that Evgeni Malkin took home the Art Ross Trophy and Alexander Ovechkin got the Rocket Richard Trophy.

Go Penguins!

I was so excited when they won the Cup!

That's good to hear that hockey players are pretty average guys 1819, other than being exceptional at playing hockey compared to the rest of us common folk.

And good going Penquins on the victory.
