Default Security measures in Las Vegas

Ever wonder, besides all the cameras in the casinos, what other types of security there is on the strip? Well, heres a few of what they have going on security wise.

First of all, they know who you are before you even get into the casino if you have driven there because cameras are positioned that take a picture of every license plate on every car, truck, delivery van, taxi cab, etc. that drives up to or on the casino property.

The Eye in the Sky refers to all the cameras each casino has installed in the ceilings which cover over 80% of the casino floor. These cameras are used to watch for cheating players, to watch the dealers for errors, people that are congregating in unusual areas, and to watch unattended bags that may have been left anywhere on the casino floor.

There are even Smart Tables, and cards with barcodes that prevent people from cheating. And their NORA software is for ascertaining if you and the dealer have enough background together to become a possibility of collusion.

Theres even RFID in the casino chips. This way the high frequency transmitters in the chips let the casino know where the chips are at all times.

The cashiers window also has security which prevents the passing of counterfit bills and identification.

So, with all of these security measures in effect, the casinos have pretty much covered all the bases when it comes to fraud and theft.

They need all the security they can get. There are so many people out there that try thier best to cheat the system.

With the job situation the way it is that is going to get worse. Everyone is looking for an easy way out.

Me, if I can't get it the honest way, I am sunre not gonna try to cheat anyone.

Its sad that places of business and I mean from the big town casinos down to the Ma and Pa stores of any small town have to have some type of security. Though the security in casinos have to be state of the art and people have to be watched carefully. They never know who is going to turn out to be a cheater and who isnt.

In a way it would be a bit creepy knowing that every single move you make is going to watched carefully, then again at the same time it also gives you a sense of safety.
