Default Should Vegas Revise the Smoking Ban?

Do you think Las Vegas lawmakers should take another look at the smoking ban and revise it?

I think so. I cannot even imagine the money they have lost out on since the smoking ban took effect. I have no doubt that a lot more money would begin rolling through Las Vegas once again if they at least allowed smoking in some places.

As a smoker I regret that I cannot sit and enjoy my games and a cigarette at the same time. On that same note though I do understand that non-smokers shouldn't have to be subjected to second hand smoke. Thats why they should have some bars and taverns and casinos that allow it and others that don't. Or seperate smokers from non-smokers. I am fine with that.

I think the Las Vegas economy could really get a boost if smokers were once again allowed to smoke and play/eat/whatever.

Hi Vegasrocks,

I was in Vegas last year May for the 1st time and will go back this year, probably in October.
I didn't know that in the mean time there is a smoking ban in Las Vegas?! I'm completely shocked!!

Does that mean you cannot smoke anymore inside the casinos? And what about the hotel rooms?

You are completely right about them losing money, cause i will reconsider going now as well myself.
And if i will go, i won't spend as much time in the casinos as last year, cause the games are just
not as much fun, without a drink and a cigarette to hold on to (to kill the nerves lol)!

Thanks for any feedback!

Cheers,
River...

From what I've read this ban has been in place for several years now and mainly affects restaurants and bars that serve food. It seems that players are still able to smoke in the casinos.

You may not be able to smoke in a restaurant while on your trip, but you should be fine as far as the casinos are concerned.

Thanks for the update Slotlover.

I remember the last time I visited a restaurant, just off of the casino floor, and I had the urge to smoke.

I was able to place my order and then go back to the casino floor to have a stogie.

If they ever decide to take that away from smokers, they may have to make a wider sidewalk for the smokers, so they can go stand outside to have a smoke.

Thanks a lot, Slotlover!

I think (hope) that it is still the same then as last year, we could smoke at our room and at the casino floors.
In bars and restaurants, it was already not allowed, but that's ok (not really, but got used to that by now).
Especially when playing games in the casinos, i like my drink and smoke at hand!

Cheers,
River...
