Default Stay healthy in Vegas.

It gets really hot in Las Vegas, so when you are out touring the city, be it by walking or monorail or whatever, be sure to take into consideration that you may need more than just pop or water to prevent dehydration.

Two good drinks to prevent dehydration are Powerade and Gatorade as they will both replace electrolytes that your body loses when overheated.

Be aware of the signs of "heat stroke" which can be fatal and the person suffering heat stroke would need immediate medical intervention.

Touring can be a wonderful way to pass your time in Vegas, just be sure to do it safely.

Thanks for the great advice. You are so right about the heat. And it can overwhelm you before you even know it. One minute you think you are fine and the next you know you are not!

Gatorade and Powerade are both excellent for keeping your body from becoming dehydrated.

Every year people are hospitalized because of heat stroke. I have a huge habit of always carrying something with me to drink. So that wouldn't be a problem for me, but there are those who don't think about the heat and can some times end up paying for it in the hospital if they are lucky enough to make it.

I appreciate you sharing that information with all of us here. I haven't been to Vegas before but with everyone sharing tips like this one when I do go I will be fully prepared and have a great time.
