lol. yes. the hanson brothers are based on the real life carlson brothers. 2 of the actors are the real carlson brothers. the other one was playing in the playoffs when the movie was shot. the other brother was played by a guy named hanson. he had a nickname of "killer hanson" and they used that to make a character named "killer carlson". "charlestown" is actually johnstown pa. i know i played against at least one of them, i think steve carlson, when i was playing in the ahl in the mid 80's....

Tell me, did you play back when the "Whalers" were a league from CT.? Thats were i am from and the state was upset when they left and went to N. Carolina

So tell me, did the "Carlson brothers" actually play with toy cars in the locker room? LOL....the one you played against, did you have to fight him? LOLLLL

This is priceless info and memories ...thanks for sharing.

My goodness, small world huh?

Yes Trumbell street is one of the well known streets in Hartford. I can't believe you scouted for them. Its a shame they left, it was such a let down for the state, the only professional team sport we had, or have.

Uconn Mens Basketball, and the Womens basketball are our only bright spots now. We almost had the Patriots but the owner backed out of that one too!

Well this has been great 1819. I enjoyed this very much!
