Vegas dos and donts
When visiting Las Vegas, there are many things you should do and many that you shouldnt do. Here are a few of them.
When visiting vegas and youve been there before, dont expect the same Vegas when you return. Things are constantly changing there.
Do expect to get some of your best bargains at some of the older casinos such as Ellis Island and others.
Do plan in advance what you will do when you get to Vegas, for instance, buy the tickets for whatever show you want to see before you even leave home as possibilities are good that they will be sold out before you get there. And, the best seats will most likely already be taken.
Dont let the taxi driver take you from the airport to your hotel through the airport tunnel as this takes longer and is a more expensive trip.
Dont go to Vegas during peak travel times. instead, go in the summer when there are less crowds. Most people dont like Vegas in the summer because of the heat.
Dont expect to get a cab on Las Vegas Boulevard as they are not allowed to stop there. Instead, stand next to a driveway or get a cab at the hotel you are staying at.
Do use Caesars check in kiosk at the airport, this way you can go directly to your room.
Dont club hop on the weekends or holidays as you will just spend most of the evening standing in lines. Most likely an hour or better at each club.
Dont forget about dress codes at the Las Vegas Clubs. Shorts etc. will keep you on Outside of their doors.
Dont expect to to to the top of the Eiffel Tower if the wind is over 40 mph. When this happens, the Tower is shut down.
Do always use crosswalks when crossing the streets in Vegas. Fines for jaywalking can be from $150 to $200 plus court fees, and you dont want to go home in a body bag.
Do be aware of laws concerning alcohol. You can walk down the street carrying an open container, but you cannot have an open container in your car.
Dont do anything you wouldnt want caught on camera, they are everywhere.
Dont take money out of the fountains, this money is collected by the hotels and given to charities.
