Default Vegas Named The Most Stressful City

Forbes Magazine named Las Vegas the "Most Stressful City" in the United States! Whats up with that???

Here is their reasoning and I guess it does make sense...

People travel to Las Vegas to forget about things at home, to forget about their problems and enjoy themselves. One of the things that makes Las Vegas so great is because the city never closes. It's open 24/7. That very thing is what makes it the most stressful city for those who live there. They work long hours. Many of those who aren't working the long hours are laid off hence they stressed because of money. Vegas was one of the hardest hit cities with unemployment and housing foreclosures. All of that together is what put Vegas at the top of the list.

So I guess for those who don't live there, Vegas is awesome but maybe not so awesome if you are there 24/7.

Forbes Magazine, and you vegasrocks, have a point there...Las Vegas can be stressful if you live there.

Vegas also stresses me at times and that's because I keep an eye on our spending money when my wife and I visit.
She can just spend away and have a good time, while I'm worried about adding another $20 to a machine and losing it.
I prefer playing blackjack, but usually keep it at the same steady bet so I don't win all that much.

Yep, Las Vegas can be stressful on anyone, if they let it be.
When I first get there I'm all excited about hitting the machines or tables and having fun, but start worrying after the first day because a couple-hundred dollars or more has been spent.

I'll have to change my attitude on the next visit and see if I can win some of that hard earned cash and put it back into my bank account.

I can understand the stress of the people that live in Vegas. With the housing foreclosures and the unemployment rate there it would be really stressful.

As far as stress when I go to Vegas, I dont have any. I take a set amount of money to spend on the machines and thats all I spend. I dont take credit or debit cards with me when I go. And that makes my stay a whole lot more pleasant when I know that I wont have to come and stress about what I spent there.

My only problem is that I forget to eat while Im there. Maybe one meal a day, but that can be a good thing if you are trying to lose weight. Lol

I would probably do as you do ILuvVegas. I wouldn't take any credit cards or anything that way I wouldn't have to worry about over spending and having to pay it back. And like you I'd probably forget to eat until I got shaky and my body gave me no choice lol.

I know that I have said that I would have to live there to be able to see and do everything that I would like to do, however that really isn't true. I don't think I could handle living in a place like that.

There is so much going on all of the time, that I can't even imagine the kind of stress that most people are under being there all of the time.

I feel sorry for the police in that area! I would hate to see what they have to put up with on a daily basis, as well as those who work in the casinos, bars and what not.

I don't know how they deal with such madness all of the time. I know that I personally could never handle such a thing.

Those who live in Vegas are much stronger than I am that is for sure.
