Default Always Bring Back Gifts

My old man's parents just spent the last week or rather most of it in Las Vegas and they brought back gifts for everyone including myself which surprised me.

It was very nice of them. They bought me a Vegas purse which has the Vegas sign on it, a wedding chappel, Vegas hot air balloon, playing cards, dice, pyrmid, hotel, statue of liberty, and the effel tower.

It is really cute. Everyone else pretty much got key rings and coffee mugs,. I got the best. Then again it may very well be the only thing that I will ever have of Las Vegas!

I would recommend that if your going to Vegas and know someone who wants to go but can't it is always a good idea to bring back a little something if possible. I can say for sure that it would be appreciated!!!

That was thoughtful of your parents queen of hearts and reminds me of when my wife and I go to Las Vegas.

I think of going to Las Vegas to relax, gamble and enjoy myself.
My wife thinks of these same things and also thinks outside the box, like buying gifts for the children or a friend.

It is appreciated to get a gift or two from Las Vegas if you cannot visit.
There were several times my wife went on a business/getaway to Las Vegas and I would stay home to watch the children...
But she would always remember us and bring some Las Vegas trinket or gift home for every one of us.

Thanks for sharing this queen of hearts, it brings back memories.

The last time I went to Vegas I did bring back a few gifts but if I brought back gifts for all my kids and grandkids, I would have had to win a big jackpot to do so. Lol But I guess thats one disadvantage of have a very large extended family.

Guess the next time I go I better get everyone some small thing so no one gets their feelings hurt.

Speaking of getting gifts. My daughter just got home from Europe last night and she brought me a couple of little things. So nice of her! I got an I <3 Madrid coffee mug and a little Eiffel Tower keychain. It is kind of nice to get something from somewhere that you've never been.

It is nice to think of all the unlucky people that you left at home while you were having a great time in Vegas.......but I agree with you River that not bringing home debts is a very good thing.

Then another question: What kind of gifts would yóu all (ladies and gentleman) most appreciate to get when one of your loved ones comes back from a trip to Vegas? And which things preferably not? It will help me when next time i have to pick presents for someone.

I will start (fools ahead): i've bought myself a cowboy hat when i was in Vegas. It is bright red with sparkles (see also forum topic "Popular Vegas Souvenirs" from queen of hearts). That i would love to get as a present! Further anything else that is cute and girly (cant help it, i'm a sucker for those things ), or a glass (shooter glasses for example!) with Vegas on it. And a nice new card deck (is that how you say it?) from Vegas is always handy!

Things i dont really like is anything that i have to hang on my wall or put on the table (to not offend the giver, but i prefer to find those things myself, no offence), same for anything i have to wear (i still have a cabinet full of lovely shawls and handkerchiefs etc, anyone?). Or those kitchy things which are made of a material (usually plastic) which is not meant for that item (should be made of glass, stone or metal for example). On the other hand, if it is really really kitch and plain ugly, then i might like it again!

I like Las Vegas souvenirs and get complimented on my CSI Las Vegas hat on occasion, when I wear it. My wife bought it for me on one of her Las Vegas business trips.

I bought a coffee cup for myself with Las Vegas printed on it (a cheap one).
The "Las Vegas" was printed on it with cheap ink and is now gone, so the coffee cup is now just plain white.

If you buy a Las Vegas coffee cup or mug, be sure it's not a cheap one.
I'm glad I didn't buy my cup for someone else because they would be cursing me right now.

I think we have a few Las Vegas shot glasses too, out of the few souvenirs we bought while in Vegas.

A deck of Las Vegas playing cards would make a good souvenir to those who like to play poker or other card games.
I think we still have a couple decks of cards from Las Vegas floating around the house.
