Default Best Airline

I won't lie, I am pretty much petrified of the thought of getting onto an airplane and flying thousands of miles high in the sky. Yes, you can call me a chicken lol... I don't care. If I did get the opportunity to go to Las Vegas one day though, I would probably fly. The thought of driving that far doesn't appeal to me at all.

I know that a lot of you here have flown a lot of times and so my question is, Which airline is the safest? Which one would you reccommend?Who have you had the best experiences with?

Those questions would be what I would be wondering about when booking a flight. I of course would rather pay more for a ticket and have peace of mind lol.

We use to fly Delta, until they went bankrupt a while back.

My wife has spent many hours sitting in a Delta plane waiting for it to be fueled.
And one of those times the pilot got on and was doing his pre-flight test, and the plane needed fuel.

So, that made my wife very edgy about getting on Delta again.

We've been flying with United for our U.S. flights and American Airlines (AA) for overseas flying.

Anybody else have a favorite airline?

continental is my usual airline. number one by far. at the moment they are the only carrier i can get non-stop from newark nj - las vegas. i always fly them between ft. lauderdale and nj.

The best Airline to me is an Airline that has a 100% guarantee "No Crashing"!

If that does not exist...i guess i am walking! LOLLLLL

Does Continental still have the best meals in the air?

I think I had taken a flight with them on my last trip overseas.

I remember getting all the meals during my two 12 hour flights.

I didn't mean it to come out that way, about being the best meals.

It's just that most airlines will try to get away from serving a meal at all.

My personal choice in Airlines is Air Tran - but I don't think they fly out west yet, just up and down the east coast - The last time I flew out the Vegas was on United - I would never fly them by choice again. The flight was fine nothing sketchy there - just people at the ticket counter were morons and I had to interrupt a conversation between workers about the weekend to get them to help with the problem I was having getting my ticket.

No guarantees in flying.

If you get on your flight, leave and arrive early to your destination, that's the best you can hope for.

But with most flights these days, you will be lucky to get that out of no less than 5 flights.

At least that's in my experience.
