Default Fuel Cost Drop Will Help Las Vegas Tourism

Have you noticed the price at the pumps? They have been dropping pretty significantly all over the United States thank goodness.

With the drop coming right during the beginning of summer and vacation time this will no doubt help to draw in more tourists to Las Vegas giving the great city a boost.

I know that I haven't made any vacation plans to travel too far because I can't afford the gas. Now the possibility is there because it will cost less to go.

I read that the drop in fuel cost is due to Saudi Arabia boosting up their output to make up for Libya. Experts are saying that the cost of gas could drop another thirty cents per gallon this summer.

Thats very welcome news to me and everyone else I am sure.

Now maybe we can all afford to take that trip to Las Vegas after all.

Im impressed. To see a drop in the price of gasoline over summer vacation time is something that is not very often seen and it really surprises me that this is a possibility.

I would love to go to Vegas this summer but with my husband being so ill it wont be a possibility. But I sure hope that the rest of you can and will make it to Vegas this summer and wish you all the best of luck.

I am thankful for the drop in gas prices. I can't believe how far it was allowed to get out of hand.

Now people will hopefully be able to take the trips and vacations that they were wanting to have.

I remember a time when I stopped to fill my car with gas it would cost me at most $20.00!! Though lately that wouldn't be enough to fill anything up. I wish gas was once again only $1.00 per gallon!!

Most likely that will never happen again in my life time, but with lower prices I may be able to talk my other half into going camping or something like that. That would be a good vacation to me.

I do hope that this does boost visitors to the Vegas area. I am guessing that they haven't suffered a whole lot over high fuel costs, but I am sure that they have seen a bit of difference and hopfully that will change back to the way it was before high fuel prices.

I know what you mean IluvVegas. I don't think I have ever seen a drop in fuel cost this time of the year before but I will take it. I noticed it start to drop last week at my local pump. Lets hope it keeps dropping!

I was just thinking about the fuel price drop coming at this time of the year and have to wonder if maybe it hasnt been dropping because of the fact that it is vacation time for most people and until now a lot of people havent been able to travel like they used to?

Whatever the reason, it is a welcome thing, a very welcome thing for everyone as people have to drive to work, appointments etc and until now keeping enough money for gas for everything we have to do has not been easy for anyone except the rich.

I would like to see another significant drop in gas prices this summer and would like to see the prices stay down for the year because heating season will be on us before we know it and heating fuel has been quite expensive.

Perhaps some those young or inexperienced oil-mongers have been booted from buying future oil.
That would drive down the price of gasoline.

And I like to think that another reason they dropped the price of gas is because not many people could travel with the prices so high.

I will be glad when or if the price of gas and diesel drops back down to two-bucks for a gallon.

I say open up the Alaskan oil to the US, stop shipping so much of it to other countries and worry about American lifestyle for a change.

I will second that! It makes no sense that we ship it away and buy from other countries. The only thing I can figure is that the gov has some sort of agreement to buy elsewhere. Who knows.... But it's high time we worry about home before we worry about others! ( I know that sounds selfish but this is ridiculous) It's time we finally say "What about us!"
