How To Save Money In Las Vegas
How are some of the ways that a person visiting Las Vegas can save money. At least save enough to add them to what you plan on spending in the slot machines.LOL. That is where most of my money would probably go.
I am interested in learning things like how to save money on hotel rooms, dining, tours and things like that so that a person could get as much as possible out of a vacation in Las Vegas.
I know that some places and things that there are to do in Las Vegas are probably pretty expensive and the though of saving money sure would be interesting to learn.
I have heard that there are also some free things to do in Las Vegas, but I am sure that there is more there that I would want to do other than just free stuff.
Anything that would help someone such as myself to save money and enjoy Las Vegas a little more I am sure would be appreciated by everyone.

Re: How To Save Money In Las Vegas
First off, use your players card, sign up for one at any casino you play at. Using the players card really pays if you take another trip to vegas, the hotel will send you discounted or free room offers (they are usually for weekdays, and discounts off weekend rates).
alot of hotel will also add points to your card for any meals you bill to your room.....be sure to get all the details when you sign up.
for your present trip, when you play you get points on your card, go to the rewards desk before you leave, find out how much you have on it, you can use those points for some free play, or for free meals.
Most times when you sign up for a card, they will give you a coupon book, with 2 for 1 meal deals, 2 for 1 shows....or $ off on shopping.
Yes, there are free things you can go see, you can watch the show in front of treasure island for free, you can see the water show in front of beligeo for free, the white tiger at mirage, oh...and go see the court yard at flamingo, beautiful birds (and they have a feeder/trainer a few times a day that will tell you all about them while they feed them) all for free.
take a walk thru venetian, you will see the gondola's and guys singing, and inside they have folks dressed in period cloths, and they sing. all free.

Re: How To Save Money In Las Vegas
Thanks for all the informations everyone!!! This is going to be very helpful to not only myself but for anyone who is planning on making the trip to Vegas.
Personally if I were able to I would have already been there at least once. Though that just hasn't happened yet.
Though having this kind of knowledge for the future can really be helpful. I will also have to as my friends who have been there if they have taken advantage of these tips that have been listed here. I have never heard anyone mention anything like a players card or anything so they too may have been missing out.
Everyone needs to have a vacation every now and then, but there is no need to spend a lot of money when there is no need to. Besides every penny that you save on hotel rooms, entertainment, meals and so on means that you will have just that much more to place into a slot machine later on,LOL.
Something else that may just need to be added to my must see list is the birds that were mentioned. I think that would really be something to see. Birds are beautiful, so being able to see them and learn something about them would be very interesting to me.
Here is a video I did find on the some of the birds. I like it a lot and this is really something that I would have to see in person.

Re: How To Save Money In Las Vegas
My husband travels for work and just got back from a stint in Vegas (next week is Hawaii--don't you just feel sorry for the man?? ).
He was able to get a room at the Venetian for $109 a night--complete with automatic curtains, a bathroom as big as our bedroom, and a TV near the soaking tub. I may need to stow-away in his luggage the next time he flies.

Re: How To Save Money In Las Vegas
I don't believe I've posted this before, but if you're looking for good ol' fashioned gambling on the cheap, you have to go to the Sahara. Yes, it's waaaay on the other end of the Strip, but it will be completely worth your while with better odds, nicer servers, and cheaper everything--$1 shots, $1 beer, $1 hotdogs, $1 craps (to play, not to eat, of course).
The last two times I was there, I put down $20 on the craps tables and both times I left ahead after a minimum of 4 hours each--and that includes tipping after each round.
AND every time you get a Blackjack on the Blackjack tables, you get a promotional "Sahara Buck". Once you get 5 Sahara Bucks, you can go to the Players Club and trade it in for $5 free slots play. My husband swears this "special money" loosens up the slots--he won $20 on his first pull!
