Default McCarran To Use New Security Scanners

McCarran International Airport in Las vegas is starting to use a new type of scanner to check people for weapons before boarding an airplane. These new scanners are less intrusive than the current ones in place.

The current scanners provide almost a nude image which of course most people do not like. The new scanners are just as good at detecting weapons but do not produce detailed anatomical imagery.

Representatives of the Transportation Security Administration today will unveil new security technology billed as being less intrusive than existing scanners at McCarran International Airport.

A demonstration of new scanners is planned at one of McCarran’s security check points.

The TSA has been criticized for operating scanners that produce nude images of passengers who pass through them.
I understand the importance of the security but I would not like having to go through scanners that produce a nude-like image. I am glad that they have come up with a better scanner.
