Default New Allegiant Flights

I just read that Allegiant Air is offering new flights between Las vegas and Long Beach.

The will now be offering flights between these destinations four times per week. On Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Quote:
The new flights will operate four times weekly between McCarran International Airport (LAS) and Long Beach Airport (LGB) with flights on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Friday and Sunday flights will depart Las Vegas at 5:55 p.m. (1755) arriving in Long Beach at 7 p.m. (1900). Flights leaving Long Beach will depart at 7:50 p.m. (1950) arriving in Las Vegas at 8:55 p.m. (2055). Thursday flights will depart Las Vegas at 6:25 p.m. (1825) arriving in Long Beach at 7:30 p.m. (1930). Flights leaving Long Beach will depart at 8:20 p.m. (2020) arriving in Las Vegas at 9:25 p.m. (2125). Monday flights will depart Las Vegas at 7 a.m. (0700) arriving in Long Beach at 8:05 a.m. (0805). Flights leaving Long Beach will depart at 8:45 a.m. (0845) arriving in Las Vegas at 9:50 a.m. (0950) (all flight times are local). The company will utilize 150-seat, McDonnell Douglas DC-9-80 (MD-80) jet aircraft on the route.
This is great for Las Vegas.

In other news I heard that flights are up in Las Vegas for the third month in a row. Thats really good. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

I have also read articles that are stating that tourism to Las Vegas is picking back up. And thats a real plus in Vegas.

Perhaps tourism will pick up there enough to put some of the people back to work at the casinos that had been laid off.

Eventually, I think that Las Vegas will come back strong as ever.

Allegiant Air pulled out of our airport a couple years ago for lack of flights going to Las Vegas.

I could only guess the reason why; you have to book a flight during certain days of the week and at certain times...
In other words, you have to work your schedule around their flight times.
We didn't have the luxury of setting our flight dates with that of Allegiant Air's.

Their flight prices were much lower for going to Las Vegas and of course those prices didn't include baggage and meal prices that were tagged on.

I hope Allegiant Air does well in other parts of the US and maybe one day come back to our small airport.
