Default Travel by train.

I was looking to see if it were even possible to take a train to Las Vegas. It seems that yes it is.

Amtrack would charge me $293.00 for a trip leaving today and returning on saturday.

The problem there is that it takes about 2 days to get to Vegas. Well anyway if you have the time it would be a nice way to travel.

Check it out for yourself and see what adventure awaits. I have always wanted to take a train somewhere and I am thinking this would be the trip to do it on.

What do you think?

I faintly remember taking the train with my mother when I was around 2 years old. It's just something your brain doesn't allow you to remember at that age.

My mother use to travel from Wisconsin to Florida to visit her mother, my grandmother, and I guess it would take a day or two to travel these days.
I'm sure it was just a day trip back in the early 60's.

I've been on small train rides a few times in my life, ones I can remember, and those would last nearly all day, with stops of course.
If I had the time I would love to travel to Las Vegas by train.

I liked getting outside, on the open cars during my train rides, to take in all the beauty of the un-touched nature seen beside the train-tracks.

Yes, a two-day train ride to Las Vegas would be eventful. And of course the ride back would be just as eventful with different scenery, by going in the opposite direction.

I would love to take a train and go out west. Theres so much beautiful countryside to be seen and enjoyed that cant be seen from a plane or when you are the one driving a car.

To be able to take a couple of weeks and just explore out west would be a perfect vacation and the fare is cheap enough.
