Vegas Discounts

My hubby and I are planning on visiting Vegas in January. It's been 3 yrs since we were there. We want to see Le Reve and the lowest priced tkts in the splash zone are $108 and then they go to $142. If I remember, they tag about $20 onto that. The Cirque de Soliel Elvis is another show we want to see and those tkts start at $117. I keep reading where these shows are only half full. We had the best seats for Love and we paid $145 and I thought that was nuts & now those are $179. I checked O and those start at $179.My son got us discounted tkts for that show and we paid $99. The seats were supposed to be obstructed but they were not. We can get a great price on airfare and hotel but I'm second thinking the whole thing because we like the shows & they are ridiculous unless there is a way to get a discount. I know there is a place there that sells shows 50% off but I don't remember any production shows offered. Would like to hear comments from anyone who has been recently and may know how to soften the blow to our wallet!
