Default Book fast, save money

Room rates are going up now. Supply and demand, I guess. According to the executives at the MGM Mirage, there has been fewer convention cancellations, and the hotel is getting more calls for hotel rooms.

They are hoping raising the rates on hotel stays will help with their bottom line in 2010. Jim Murren, the CEO of the Mirage said the weekends are staying pretty full now.

Treasure Island will also be raising the room rates.

This is good news for the hotels especially since I just read an article about a week ago that said room rates were rock bottom right now. They had dropped the prices to try and fill their rooms. I also read that many of the hotels are concerned about the opening of CityCenter because their will be a lot more rooms available then. They are worried about how they are going to attract customers to fill their own rooms.
