California Hotel and Casino

This place seems to have it all. Have any of you stayed at the California Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas? If so what did ya think of the place? Would you recommend it?

They have 781 rooms, 60,000 square feet of casino, an outdoor pool, several shops including Cal Gift Shop, Cal Logo Shop, Ethel M Chocolates, Lappert's Ice Cream, Vegas 808 and an up to 500 seater convention room just to name a few of the amenities they offer.

The one thing I do see they are missing that I'd like is some type of a nightclub. They don't really have anything like that.

Another downside is that they only have dial-up internet but at least it is in-room I guess.

For the kids they do have an arcade. Thats a plus.

Overall it seems to be a decent place to lay your head in Vegas.

Dial up internet,how passe,dag you aould think that they would have upgraded to high speed by now.I would think that that fact olone would hurt thier bussiness,don't you?The arcade sounds really cool if you are looking ti get rid of the kids for a while for some one on one time with dad lol.I would cost a pretty penny though to keep them occupied though,kids can fly through money on those arcade games,this might not be a very good idea.

I amay would check it out if I am in the area,but if I could go there,I wouldn't stay there probably.I would have to go to a big nice hotel with high speed internet definately.
